Angela Evelyn Bassett is an American actress. Her work has been recognized for TV and film in the 1980s, she's won numerous awards like two Golden Globe Awards and sixteen NAACP Image Awards in addition to nominations for two Academy Awards and seven Primetime Emmy Awards. Bassett is a native of New York New York and raised by an aunt who lived in Winston-Salem North Carolina. At the age of Bassett was around five, she and her sister moved to St. Petersburg, Florida to stay with their mother, who was been divorced from her father. Bassett decided to be an actress after seeing the production Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, starring James Earl Jones. When she graduated at Yale University New Haven Connecticut in 1980, with an undergraduate degree of African American Studies, she was able to obtain an MA (1983) at the Yale School of Drama. She dated Courtney B. Vance, another actress from Yale and they got married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. In African-American Studies, 1981. Masters in Fine Arts from Yale School of Drama School. Jordan Park Elementary School Disston Middle School (7th grade), Azalea Middle School (8th and 9th grade), Boca Ciega High School. Angela Bassett is currently working on one of the leading roles as Ramonda in the action film i.e. Black Panther Wakanda forever 2022.
