Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins is a Mexican-American sportscaster. She is an ESPN news anchor and hosts SportsNation at times. The first time she worked for ESPN in the year 2016. Her daughter is television journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins is a bilingual woman and has been for a long time, starting at the age of nine. This ability helped her to get her first work at Univision, Miami. She had the opportunity to collaborate with national producers on programs like Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. Following this her first job, the CBS affiliate of St. Petersburg employed her as a sport reporter. She worked as a journalist for KNVO TV 48 Univision in Rio Grande Valley Texas. Covering stories on immigration and drug trafficking from both sides the Texas-Mexico border, she was the reporter for an evening newscast at 5. p.m. Spanish newscast a anchor later and a reporter on news at 9 p.m. newscast, which was in English as well as a reporter again for 10 p.m. Spanish newscast. As an anchor, her duties for sports or weather were frequent requests. In the following, she anchored and also reported at Univision's Dallas affiliate Deportes 23 where she was granted more responsibilities. She also covered all of the Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series and Dallas Cowboys, NBA postseason and finals FC Dallas as well. She also produced Univision 23's local sports channel Accion Deportiva Extra, on which she was the anchor. In addition, she was the host for the morning program of Despierta America Deportes. Also, she was anchor of the sports segment for Primer Impacto, a magazine program on the UniMas Network and Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta's parents were originally from Veracruz Mexico. They eventually moved into Mexico City where she was born on November 22 1985. Her sister is also there. The family in 1992 moved out of Mexico and relocated to Miami. She divorced her parents shortly after and in 1995, she was married to a naval designer named Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo passed away in 2006 due to kidney cancer. The break in summer that she spent together with her sister living in Canton Ohio where the older Collins girl was offered a job. Antonietta, a high-school senior with a plan of what she wanted her future to look like, came to Mount Union University to determine whether it was a good fit for her. It was an amazing campus. They also offered the degree she wanted. After graduation, she enrolled in the university for a degree in media studies. Professor Mark Bergmann, who managed WRMU FM and was student in her class, formed a strong relationship with her. He encouraged her to be self-confident and his passion for journalism deeply affected her, and she in turn, was determined to fulfill the expectations of him and not failed him.
